7th International Conference on Sustainable Solid Waste Management Crete Island, Greece, 26–29 June 2019

The Conference aims to address the significant issue of sustainable solid waste management through the promotion of safe practices & effective technologies. The Conference focuses mainly on modern solid waste technologies. It aims to stimulate the interest of scientists and citizens and inform them about the latest developments in the field of municipal solid waste management. Two associations jointed the BalkalROAD network, the Agricultural Cooperative Association of Kefalonia-Ithaka,Greece and the Macedonian Association of Agricultural Cooperatives (MAZZ).

Gap analysis survey

In May 2018, the BalkanROAD consortium performed an online survey. Farmers and policy makers from all Balkan countries answered questions regarding the issue «Which are the obstacles that prevent agribusinesses to adopt alternative and environment friendly practices”. Through a web app, the answers collected, evaluated and GAPs were identified. The results of the survey will be the key issue for evaluation and discussion among Balkan stakeholders and policy makers during the 1st stakeholders meeting of the project on 10 October 2018, in Bulgaria.
